The site is one of over 750 sites that form the UNESCO World Heritage Convention district entitled "Rock Art of the Mediterranean Basin on the Iberian Peninsula" which is monitored by the Council for Rock Art of the Mediterranean Basin created in 1998. The website for the cave notes that cave paintings belonging to the Upper Paleolithic have been found in several locations in the cave.
